Wiltshire charity Fairfield Farm Trust receives cash boost from Persimmon Homes Wessex

Wiltshire charity Fairfield Farm Trust, which provides training and employment opportunities for young people with disabilities, has been handed a cash boost from Persimmon Homes Wessex.

The trust, based on a 26-acre farm site in Dilton Marsh, near Westbury, has received £1,000 from the housebuilder.

The donation comes through Persimmon’s long-running Community Champions campaign.

Each month, the housebuilder donates up to £64,000 to good causes across Great Britain.

Commenting on the donation, Helen Beer, senior business manager at Fairfield Farm Trust, said: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation from Persimmon Homes.

“Our charity incorporates Fairfield College, Weavers Pub in Dilton Marsh, and Hope Nature Centre in Southwick.

“We offer residential, day and weekend opportunities, and have recently introduced a ‘Living Well Service’ to support young adults to live lives without barriers in their chosen community.

“We are looking to extend our services into different areas, creating community circles and activities chosen by the young people themselves, and we are raising money to set up and run groups and to fund activities.

“This money will make a huge difference.”

Congratulating Fairfield Farm Trust, Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director at Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “We’re pleased to be able to support Fairfield Farm Trust, which does fantastic work with young people in the area.

“This charity offers a stepping stone into employment for many of the people who use the services and it’s a privilege to be involved.

“It’s another example of Persimmon Homes Wessex supporting the communities in which we are building.”
