RWK Goodman announces partnership with Bristol City Cerebral Palsy Football Club

Law firm RWK Goodman has announced a partnership with Bristol City Cerebral Palsy Football Club (BCCPFC), underscoring the firm’s commitment to Bristol and to supporting inclusive initiatives that make a positive impact, as they prepare to open a new office in the city later this year.

As sponsors of the club, RWK Goodman are excited to back BCCPFC in their upcoming hosting of England’s largest Cerebral Palsy International Football Festival in Bristol from August 2-4, 2024 which will bring together clubs from around Europe.

The event will not only benefit children in the Bristol area but also foster international camaraderie among young athletes with cerebral palsy.

BCCPFC provides children with cerebral palsy the opportunity to play football and build lasting friendships. They recently achieved remarkable success, with their senior team winning all their games in last year’s Cerebral Palsy International Football Festival in Copenhagen.

The Festival was attended by clubs from Denmark, Norway and Ireland; and Bristol City Cerebral Palsy FC were selected to represent England, with the Football Association supplying them with England shirts for the event. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the players, coaches, and families involved in the club.

Bob Young, the founder and coach of BCCPFC, was recognised as the FA’s National Coach of the Year – Disability Pathway, an honour for his unwavering commitment to making football accessible to all. His dedication to the club’s growth and development has resulted in the expansion of BCCPFC from just six players to over thirty, with several players now on the England Talent Pathway.

Kerstin Scheel, partner at RWK Goodman, said: “We are excited to support Bristol City Cerebral Palsy Football Club as they continue to make a difference in the lives of children with cerebral palsy. We are deeply committed to our community initiatives, and this partnership allows us to contribute in a meaningful way. We look forward to seeing the club’s continued growth and success.”
