Over 100 art lovers support exhibition by landscape artist

Over 100 art lovers have supported an exhibition by contemporary English landscape artist Sam Travers.

Sponsored by law firm Goughs, the exhibition at Hartham Park raised funds for Wiltshire charity Youth Adventure Trust, a charity dedicated to providing life-changing outdoor experiences for young people.

More than 120 people attended the private view, with many more attending the public exhibition the following day.

Laura Cole, marketing director at Goughs, said: “We’re delighted to have supported Sam Travers and this wonderful exhibition.

“As a Wiltshire-based business, we believe in championing local talent and supporting causes that make a real difference to our community.

“The Youth Adventure Trust does incredible work with young people, and we’re thrilled that this event raised valuable funds for their important mission.

He described his method as: “I paint quickly and instinctively and try and evoke the seasons, weather, atmosphere and mood of the landscape.

“My aim is to capture the colours, light and feeling of the ever changing landscape that I love.

“I live in West Wiltshire and the varying landscape and big skies form the majority of what I paint.”
