Bath Metro Bank to celebrates International Women’s Day with Women Mean Biz event

Nicky (pictured) is an expert in mind and emotional management and empowers women to take control of their time and build self-confidence. She will be joined by Lucia Chadwick, CEO of Focus Counselling, and Natasha Goodman, Metro Bank’s local director.
Lucia runs an all-female management led counselling and mental health charity which offers offer low cost and free professional mental health support across the region.
Natasha Goodman will be sharing her experiences of three decades in banking, whilst being a working mum of three children, the eldest of whom has a severe disability.
They will also be joined by business and life coach Sandra Trotman Meadows, who was voted the Most influential Women in Bristol in 2022, and NLP trainer and life coach Fenella Hemus.
Fenella has worked in personal and professional development for over 30 years, who will be talking about self-leadership and labels.
And Abi Porter from Hillis & Porter Financial Planning will be talking about the importance of women taking control of their financial future. As she explains: “The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is to accelerate action.
“IWD gives us the opportunity to reflect on who we want to be as women in our current world. Whilst we shouldn’t wait for a specific day for this, it’s a great opportunity to come together, support, encourage and raise each other up,” said Nicky.
Abi added: “The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is to accelerate action. In the UK, as much as 60 percent of the nation’s wealth is expected to be in female hands by 2025, according to the Centre for Economic and Business Research CEBR.
“As fantastic as this is, we still live in a world where women are not confident managing their money. I’m looking forward to speaking about how women can take small steps to grow their confidence allowing them to take action this year and accelerate their financial wellbeing.”
Bath Metro Bank local business manager Megan Greenwood said: “Everyone is welcome to come along and attend this celebratory event. As a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, we actively support women in business and we are looking to celebrate International Women’s Day in all our stores.
“We’re committed to supporting women with access to tools, resources and finance and supporting them in the three key areas they struggle with namely networking, funding and mentoring.”
The after-hours event will be held at the Stall Street store from 6pm to 8.30pm.
