30th anniversary PPS business lunch raises funds for Big Breakfast Plus

PPS Chartered Accountants have celebrated their 30th anniversary with a business charity fundraising lunch.

The milestone event raised over £700 taking the total charitable donations to over £5,000 since the company started its fundraising tradition.

Proceeds are being donated to Big Breakfast Plus, a charitable organisation which has been providing homeless people in Swindon with warm, hearty breakfasts since 1993.

Big Breakfast Plus also has a comfortable space in which homeless people are able to gather and socialise in a safe environment. They also continue to support the homeless by giving them access to welfare, addiction support and care agencies.

Big Breakfast Plus chair Charlotte Mannion thanked PPS Chartered Accountants for their efforts in fundraising, saying: “We are beyond grateful to PPS Chartered Accountants for their immense support; the money raised will go to improving the quality of life of many people and forge a path out of the homelessness cycle”.

The charity event also boasted a buffet lunch and a raffle. To mark the milestone year for the company, a 30th anniversary cake was cut by the deputy mayor of Swindon, Councillor Barbara Parry, who said: “It is such an honour to be here today in support of a wonderful cause. Nobody should be left homeless in Swindon or anywhere else for that matter and we will be continuing to help out the homeless and reduce their numbers in due course”.

The host for the 30th anniversary lunch was Sally Holland, who has been a partner of PPS Chartered Accountants since 2001.

“Having worked with PPS Chartered Accountants for over 20 years now, it has been amazing to see how this business has grown and the real positive impact it has had on so many other firms and individuals,” said Sally.

“Hopefully this great event will shine a light on the positive impact that PPS Chartered Accountants has had on businesses, individuals and the wider community as a whole.”

On July 10 PPS Chartered Accountants staff are going on the Superhero Run for Brighter Futures, a 3k or 5k run around Coate Water in Swindon. This will be in support of patients at home or in hospital so that they can lead more independent lives.
