Video marketing firm expands team to meet soaring demand

A creative agency that champions authentic, conversation-led video marketing has announced the appointment of a new team member to help handle its fast-growing workload.

This strategic expansion of Visual PR Productions will bolster the Swindon-based company’s capacity to deliver its signature video campaigns, which are based on relaxed conversations, with the resulting video clipped for social media posts, or used for marketing videos, complemented with B-roll footage.

University film degree graduate Ethan Watt, who has already been freelancing as a videographer, joins the company full-time, working closely alongside founder Chris Dawes and lead video editor and producer Tom Cottam.

Chris welcomed Ethan to the team, commenting, “We needed an additional creative set of hands, and Ethan perfectly fits the bill. He can use his videography skills, learn and grow with the role, and open up new creative possibilities for the business too.”

Ethan said he was delighted with his new role at Visual PR Productions. “I’m genuinely excited to be part of the team. Joining now is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-quality production and help clients build real connections with their audience.”

Award-winning motorsports commentator and public speaking trainer, Chris Dawes, launched Visual PR Productions in 2023, introducing a new approach to video content. The company is now a finalist in two categories of The Business Exchange’s annual business awards, for Best User Experience and Best Creative Campaign.

Shifting away from scripted, overtly promotional, or ‘salesy’ videos, Visual PR Productions specialises in unscripted, authentic, and conversation-based productions.

Led by Chris, who leverages his extensive expertise as an interviewer, the videos are designed to foster a deeper, more personal, authentic, and engaging connection between audiences and the featured organisation and its team.

Chris added: “In the past two years, we’ve undergone significant growth, moving way beyond our initial focus on live recordings utilising a virtual studio.

“Our expansion has been supported by a strategic investment in high-spec 4K cameras and audio equipment, which enables us to create social media and corporate videos while faithfully maintaining our signature conversational style.”

Earlier this year, the company relocated to a new, purpose-built studio in Swindon dedicated to filming, recording, and editing. The team now offer versatile video production options, including filming in the new studio, on location, using the virtual studio capabilities, or a hybrid combination of all three.

From a single monthly conversation – just 30 to 60 minutes – which is recorded ‘as live’ and then broadcast to clients’ YouTube and social media platforms, Visual PR Productions can generate a full suite of content.

This includes short video excerpts for YouTube Shorts and social media channels, drafting blogs or e-newsletters directly from the video’s transcript, and producing podcasts using the original audio combined with a visual component.

The company’s software allows clients to quickly review and schedule their content – a month’s worth of content from one conversation.

With the addition of B-roll content, the company also creates marketing videos, still based on the signature, authentic, conversational-style.
