Tower Cold Chain accelerates growth with two new senior appointments

Advanced temperature-controlled container specialist, Tower Cold Chain has continued the expansion of its global team with the appointment of a regional commercial manager for EMEA and a business development manager for Ireland.

Karin Van Den Brekel joins Tower – which is headquartered in Theale, Berkshire – as regional commercial manager in the EMEA region.

Key to nurturing collaborative partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, airlines, and third-party logistics providers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Karin has significant senior commercial leadership experience in global business development.

Previously director of business development at SkyCell AG, driving sales growth across pharmaceutical and biotech customers, Karin brings a wealth of industry experience working for leading global companies including FedEx, XPO and TNT.

Karin will work alongside Tower’s existing regional operations manager EMEA, Marloes Wanrooij, to support new and existing customers in the region.

In addition, Niall Walsh, business development manager in Ireland, will be responsible for delivering growth within Ireland and for supporting existing customers in their temperature-sensitive shipments across the region.

Niall has extensive proficiency working within the biopharma industry bringing 15+ years of knowledge and contacts to support customer needs in the Irish Market.

These two appointments will be invaluable in supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans, said the firm.
