PKF Francis Clark expands Bristol corporate tax team

PKF Francis Clark has strengthened its corporate tax team with a trio of recent appointments at the firm’s Bristol office.

Senior manager Rhiannon Baynham has joined from HMRC, where she spent eight years working as an international and corporate tax specialist focusing on large corporates and mid-sized businesses.

She brings extensive experience of HMRC enquiries and the behavioural penalty regime, complex corporation tax issues, tax compliance, UK tax assurance rules and international tax, as well as transfer pricing and double taxation relief.

Robert Waterhouse is a manager specialising in research and development tax credits and corporate tax, having previously spent five years with ForrestBrown.

He supports clients in a wide variety of sectors, including engineering, manufacturing and software, to prepare suitable tax credit claims by reviewing, defining and quantifying their R&D projects.

Joe Martin has joined as an assistant manager from KPMG, where he worked on client tax governance, compliance and advisory. He previously spent eight years at HMRC specialising in a range of taxes, from corporation tax and customs to employment taxes and income tax, investigating businesses from sole traders all the way up to the largest companies in the UK.

Increasing demand for corporate tax specialists

John Endacott, head of tax at PKF Francis Clark, said: “We are seeing increasing demand from larger corporate clients for complex tax advisory work. The arrival of Rhiannon, Robert and Joe bolsters the existing skills and experience of our growing corporate tax team in Bristol.

“They will also play an important role in providing corporate tax advice to our busy audit teams, as well as helping to develop our tax trainees. I’m delighted to welcome them all to PKF Francis Clark.”
