Housing association appoints new CEO
Housing association Selwood Housing has appointed a new CEO. Mark Mayler will take up the role in June.
Mark has spent the last five years as chief financial officer at Selwood Housing, where he has reshaped the finance function, whilst also taking responsibility for IT, leading major digital, data and AI initiatives.
As well as his housing experience at Selwood Housing, Mark has also held non-executive roles with two other housing associations, including his current board role with Brighter Places housing association.
Prior to joining Selwood Housing, Mark spent 25 years working within well-known commercial organisations BT, RAC, Lloyds Banking Group and Unite Students.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to work alongside our staff, partners and involved customers, to continue to progress outcomes that support our wider customers and communities,” said Mark.
“I’ll be taking time over the next few months before I officially start, to meet with key stakeholders and staff and to hear what’s on their mind.
“As a strong Wiltshire-based employer and provider of over 7,200 local, affordable homes, I’m delighted to be leading Selwood Housing into the future.”
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank current Selwood Housing Group CEO Barry Hughes for his dedication and commitment to the organisation over the last twenty years and we’ll be working closely to ensure a smooth handover over the next few months.”
Selwood Housing continues to grow sustainably and build new homes. Now, with over 7,200 homes across Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath & Northeast Somerset, the strategic focus has and will continue to be sustainable growth, whilst retaining a local focus and keeping close to our customers and communities.
