Foot Anstey legal director appointed as chair at professional body STEP

Emma Facey, legal director at Bristol-based law firm Foot Anstey LLP, has been appointed as chair of England & Wales Regional Committee at STEP, the global professional body comprising of lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for the future.

STEP’s mission is to inspire confidence in families planning their assets across generations by setting and upholding high professional standards, informing public policy, promoting education and connecting practitioners globally to share knowledge and best practice in the sector.

Emma is part of Foot Anstey’s charities team and has been a member of STEP for 10 years. Prior to being appointed as chair, Emma was deputy chair for STEP England and Wales Regional Committee for two years and has been involved in STEP at a regional level as chair of STEP West of England.

As Chair of the England and Wales Regional Committee for three years, Emma will be leading the Committee which oversee the strategic direction of STEP in England and Wales, under authority of the Board of Directors.

The role includes helping drive the organisation’s conversations with other members on policies, STEP training courses, events, further education and qualifications and memberships.
