Bristol law firm announces 2024 promotions
The Bristol office of national law firm Clarke Willmott has announced a series of internal promotions for 2024.
Six lawyers from the office were included in the announcement, which comes as the firm celebrates its 135th anniversary, and shortly after its move to new premises at Assembly Building C.
Due to be promoted to partner, subject to approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, is Stephen Harper, a commercial property lawyer on the social housing and development team.
Stephen assists house builders and Registered Providers of social housing to acquire land for new development.
Also due to be promoted to partner is Jeremy Bourke, an Australian qualified lawyer specialising in administering complex cross border and taxable estates, and will trusts.
Making the move from associate to senior associate is financial services lawyer Mamunul Wahid, who acts for financial advisers and private clients on a range of complex disputes.
Promoted to associate in Bristol are Megan James, corporate; Emma Davey, commercial and private client litigation; and Meg Kirkwood, financial services.
Clarke Willmott CEO, Peter Swinburn, said: “I’m pleased to announce this year’s internal promotions. We’re delighted to be celebrating the exceptional contribution of all colleagues recognised with promotion this year.
“As ever, this process has been a great opportunity to see the strength of talent and diversity we have across the practice. During discussions with candidates, it was also evident how our commitment to great client service and great people experience is being brought to life across the work throughout the practice.
“And it really has been a pleasure to see so many excellent examples of how those being promoted have stepped up in readiness for their new roles.”
