Awdry Law appoints new managing partner
Wiltshire law firm Awdry Law has appointed a new managing partner.
Alistair Everett (pictured left), who has been managing partner at Awdry Law since 2020, has handed over the reins to fellow equity partner Alexander David (right).
Alistair will continue at the firm as a member of the management board and in leading the firm’s growing conveyancing department.
Alistair said: “Together with the leadership team and all the fabulous people here, we’ve implemented many changes and made great progress across the business over several years.
“It has been a huge privilege and honour to be managing partner of this fantastic firm.
“Many congratulations to Alex. He brings a lot of experience and many talents, and I know he will be a great success in the role.”
Alex has been with the firm for 16 years and in that time has headed up the family law department, before playing a key role in the development and advancement of the private client department.
Alex has also been involved in many aspects of compliance to include risk management.
Alex added, “Alistair has done a superb job at navigating the firm through a period of great positive change.
“It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work alongside him during his time as managing partner, and I know that this sentiment is shared right across the firm.
“Moving forward, it is fantastic that Alistair will be the driving force behind many aspects of the business in his key role as partner and a senior member of the management board.
“It is an absolute privilege to be the managing partner of this great firm.
“I am optimistic for the future for a number of reasons, but the biggest reason is the people that make up this wonderful firm.
“There are great people everywhere in the firm, and with their goodwill and support, there is no doubt in my mind that Awdry Law and its people will achieve and prosper long into the future.”
Awdry Law, which can trace its origins to the mid-1700s, has offices in Chippenham, Devizes, Marlborough, Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon.
