Students to give business leaders a lesson in cybersecurity

Students from Swindon’s university technical college will give business leaders a lesson in cybersecurity, in an event co-hosted by cyber resilience experts.

Cyber Resilience: How to protect your business is being hosted by UTC Swindon, with experts from the National Cyber Security Centre, the BITC Business Emergency Resilience Group, law firm Royds Withy King, and accountancy firm RSM.

During the half-day briefing, students will demonstrate Open Source Intelligence and explain what someone can find out about an individual on the internet, without any particular technical expertise.

The National Cyber Security Centre will present a briefing on cybersecurity for small businesses, and Royds Withy King will explain how it is working towards cyber resilience, and leading a panel discussion on what cyber resiliency means in a digital world.

The event will be held at UTC Swindon, Bristol Street, Swindon SN1 5ET from 8.30am until noon on Thursday, July 11. For more information, or to book a place, visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cyber-resilience-how-to-protect-your-business-tickets-62473208047
