Businesses to learn about attracting local talent
Business leaders will discover how companies in Swindon are successfully identifying, attracting and retaining local talent at a Chamber of Commerce networking breakfast.
Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Open Your Mind Forum that will examine how companies can work more closely with the local workforce.
The meeting will hear from Gary Weinstein, managing director of Akonia Ltd, and Matthew Burrows, director and principal consultant at BSMimpact.
In his presentation Young Talent: This Way Up, Gary will be discussing insights from recent research on how millennials like to learn, and their expectations of employers, to help business leaders get the best from employing young people for the long term benefit of their organisations.
And in Digital Skills and Talent Management, Matthew will explore how organisations from around the world are using the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) for digital skills and talent management, and to address key business challenges – even when budgets are tight.
The event will be held at Swindon Marriott Hotel, Pipers Way, SN3 1SH from 7.30am until 9.30am on Friday, October 7. Attendance costs £21.60 for members and £33.60 for non-members.
