SWLEP Expo to return online – saving an estimated 2.1 tonnes of CO2
Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership has set the date for its annual conference and expo, which will be an online affair, saving delegates time and travel expenses, while keeping carbon emissions associated with travel to a minimum.
The event – Doing Business Brilliantly – will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 8.30am to 6pm. The digital conference will showcase successful SMEs from the Swindon and Wiltshire region, while offering virtual one-to-one networking opportunities.
“Building upon the success of last year’s digital conference, we are pleased to be able to offer a greater number of workshops this year, more fantastic speakers and again showcase the wonderful organisations from across our region,” said Paddy Bradley, CEO of the LEP.
“By hosting the event digitally, we prevent unnecessary travel, saving time and carbon emissions.
“We estimate a saving of circa 2.1 tonnes of CO2e by holding the 2021 Conference online – an example of the SWLEP striving to do business brilliantly.”
Digital stands are available at the virtual event, with prices starting at £100. For information, email paula.harsley@swlep.co.uk
