Communication specialist launches podcast to help firms bridge generation gap
Communication specialist, speaker, and author Alastair Greener has launched a podcast designed to tackle one of the most pressing issues of our time – bridging the generation gap.
The Alastair Greener Generationally Speaking Podcast has just launched to provide insights around how various generations communicate and will communicate and the impact that has on business health, wealth and on wider society.
In each 30-minute episode, Berkshire-based Alastair engages in insightful conversations with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and generations. The aim is simple: to better understand how different generations think, work, and communicate, and explore practical ways to strengthen intergenerational connections.
“I’ve always believed in the power of communication to create understanding,” says Alastair. “With a new generation, Generation Beta, coming into the world in 2025, the importance of encouraging intergenerational dialogue has never been greater. In this podcast, I’ll be talking to fascinating guests and learning how we can connect better across age groups.”
The podcast will be released every two weeks, with new episodes offering expert insights, personal stories, and valuable lessons on overcoming generational barriers.
Alastair’s first three episodes, feature tech expert and BBC presenter Paul Carter, communication expert Anthony Stears, known as “The Telephone Assassin,” and specialist soft skills facilitator and trainer Claudette Dawson, who discusses her unique experience of living in a household with five generations.
All three episodes are now available on all major platforms and his website.
In the debut episode, Paul discusses how generational attitudes toward technology have evolved over the years. From his personal experience with assistive technology to his advocacy for inclusivity in the tech space, Paul shares insights into how younger generations are navigating the rapidly changing landscape of AI, robotics, and technology. In the second episode Anthony discusses the evolving role of phone communication across generations.
“The ability to communicate across generations is key to making the most of the opportunities ahead of us,” Alastair said.
“And that’s what we’re aiming to explore in this podcast – practical tips and conversations to foster mutual understanding.”
Alastair is already planning future episodes, with topics ranging from adapting to life in multi-generational households to the role of social media in generational communication.
Listeners can look forward to additional thought-provoking episodes with other special guests, including communication specialist Claudette Dawson, who will join Alastair this month to discuss living with five generations under one roof.
