Printer invests in new machinery to open up new markets

Wiltshire printing and finishing company Corsham Print has invested in specialised equipment that will allow the independent firm to complete customer orders more quickly, and enter new markets.

The installation of a new multi-finisher offers versatile options for various print jobs, while a new DuBinder, enables the company to efficiently handle short-run binding projects, previously outsourced to external finishers.

The new Veloblade, meanwhile, enables the company to enter new markets including short-run packaging.

Chris Perry, commercial director at Corsham Print, said: “We’re thrilled with the performance of these machines. The multi-finisher has streamlined our workflow and reduced turnaround times by up to 12 hours, while the DuBinder has given us greater control over our short-run binding needs.”

The dwindling number of local trade finishers, rising costs, and the need to reduce external dependencies all led to the firm making the investment in new equipment.

As the company continues to grow, the increased automation in the finishing room will play a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and productivity, even with a smaller workforce, says the firm.
