Swindon-based prestige car dealership Dick Lovett has acquired Wellsway BMW, Wellsway MINI and the Wellsway Bodyshop in Bath.

The acquisition brings to four the number of dealership locations as the firm celebrates its 50th year.

The company has also opened an Aston Martin dealership in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, where it already operates BMW and MINI franchises.

On the Wellsway acquisition, chairman Peter Lovett said: “We are delighted to bring such a prestigious business into the Dick Lovett family.

“As the longest serving BMW partner in the UK, we are excited to be expanding our representation with the brand as we celebrate our 50th year and BMW celebrates its 100th year.

“Wellsway is a business that has a philosophy of offering the highest quality of service to its customers. This fits well with Dick Lovett, where we pride ourselves on investing in our people and our facilities to provide a first-class service.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues into the business and working with them to continue delivering a great service to our customers.”

The businesses will continue to operate as Wellsway whilst enhancements to the facilities are made to further improve the customer experience.

On the opening of the new Aston Martin dealership in Bristol, managing director Lynn Campbell, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Aston Martin, an iconic marque of unrivalled heritage.

“The facility has been uniquely designed, nestled into Laurel Hill, and reflects Aston Martin’s core design philosophy and craftsmanship.

“We are dedicated to providing new and existing Aston Martin owners with a service which surpasses their expectations.”
