Knorr Bremse to create 20 new engineering jobs in Melksham
Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems is creating 20 new jobs in Melksham as demand for its services grows, and has hinted that more will follow.
And the firm – which already employs 360 people at Melksham – has brought in Swindon-based recruitment firm C&D Group to help fill its vacancies.
Knorr-Bremse manufacturers a wide range of train parts such as advanced braking, monitoring and control systems for railway operators and manufacturers across the globe. Its Melksham site is one of four across the UK.
Vacancies include management accountant, project manager, innovation manager, RAMS manager as well as buyers, quality engineers, systems engineers, and electronic engineers.
Georgie Reeves, HR business partner at Knorr-Bremse said, “We are delighted that our continued business success has led to the need for us to recruit new expertise into our teams and we see them as crucial to our plans for further growth.”
Karen Davison, managing director of C&D Group added, “We have seen an encouraging level of both temporary and contract vacancies in the early part of 2014, but it is really encouraging news for the British economy to see multiple permanent opportunities following closely behind, such as those that we are now recruiting for Knorr-Bremse.”
