Ethical Equity hosts first impact community event

Ethically-driven investment platform Ethical Equity has hosted its first impact community event, with the aim of bringing together investors and underserved founders seeking funding for an afternoon of collaboration.

Bristol-based Ethical Equity is the UK’s first equity investment platform dedicated to high-growth, ethically compliant start-ups that want to deliver social, environmental, and cultural change.

Guests were invited to a reception on the rooftop of the Origin Workspace in Berkeley Square for light bites while they enjoyed the view of Bristol – the fastest-growing tech hub in the UK.

Investees were able to connect with like-minded investors, while a team of partners was present to provide guidance on how founders can continue to grow their businesses.

This flagship event was the first in a series – marking a significant milestone in the growth of the organisation.

At the event, it was announced that Ethical Equity is launching an Ethical Equity Marketplace which will provide resources to empower under-represented founders through a range of services that will provide the skills and knowledge needed to be investor ready.

Ali Kazmi, founder of Ethical Equity, said: “What a joy to host a truly diverse and inclusive investor networking event. Fostering impact investment is at the heart of what we are trying to achieve, and to have facilitated an event that brings the impact investor community out in such numbers is a true testament to what we have achieved so far.

“With events like this we hope to establish an investment community that truly gives underserved founders the opportunity to raise capital.

“This can be done with a network of investors that understand the struggles of these under-resourced entrepreneurs’ and are ready to provide support and funding.”

Ethical Equity chairman Stuart Harrison said: “A networking event like this is truly beneficial for all in attendance.

“We have shown how a network of like-minded individuals can be the staging ground for a positive movement that seeks to lower the barriers for underserved business communities.”
