Aircraft parts supplier lands $2m loan to drive growth

Wiltshire aerospace firm Skyline Aero has secured a $2 million trade loan from NatWest to accelerate its expansion, acquire additional aviation assets and create jobs at its Royal Wootton Bassett headquarters.

The funding will strengthen the company’s purchasing capability and support its growing portfolio of aviation asset transactions, enabling it to pursue larger acquisition opportunities while investing further in its operational infrastructure.

Skyline Aero, based at Oxleaze Business Park, acquires and disassembles aircraft, manages component repair programmes and supplies serviceable aircraft parts to airlines and maintenance organisations worldwide.

The loan will also help the business strengthen supply chain control and respond more quickly to demand from customers across the global aerospace sector.

Further development projects are planned at the company’s Wiltshire base as part of its long-term growth strategy, including future sustainability initiatives.

Skyline Aero was founded in 2013 and is led by chief executive Bradley Gregory. The company said the new facility builds on a long-standing banking relationship with NatWest and follows the bank’s support for its recent site purchase.

Gregory said: “Since founding Skyline Aero in 2013, we’ve built the business through a disciplined approach to growth, supported by a strong banking relationship with NatWest.

“This facility strengthens our ability to capitalise on additional aviation asset opportunities and continue investing in our long-term growth plans. We have ambitious plans for the future and are pleased to continue that journey with the support of NatWest and Lombard.”

The deal forms part of NatWest’s Growing Together campaign, which aims to back ambitious mid-market businesses with funding, expertise and connections to help them invest, scale and drive regional growth.

James Henderson, senior relationship manager at NatWest, said: “Skyline Aero is a fantastic example of the innovative mid-market businesses helping to drive growth across Wiltshire and the wider South West.

“Through our Growing Together campaign, NatWest is committed to backing ambitious businesses with the expertise, funding and connections they need to invest, create jobs and seize new opportunities. We’re delighted to support Skyline Aero as it continues its impressive growth journey.”

Skyline Aero said the funding enhances its ability to execute larger acquisitions while continuing to invest in facilities and development at its Wiltshire headquarters.
