Bristol conference will look at how devolution can drive economic growth
A conference in Bristol at the end of the month will examine how devolution can drive regional economic growth.
The government published its devolution white paper before Christmas, and regional business groups have been examining how cities and combined authorities can take advantage of new devolved powers to drive growth.
The Festival of Flourishing Regions will look at maximising regional productivity, growing regional economies, and delivering housing and infrastructure.
It will bring together policymakers, regional planners, economic development experts, academics, and business and community leaders to explore and promote strategies for regional prosperity.
The festival is run by Futures West in partnership with the Growing Together Alliance of leading regional business groups including The Northern Powerhouse Partnership Business West, BusinessLDN, Business South, Cambridge Ahead, and the North West Business Leadership Team.
The all-day event will be held at Bristol’s Watershed on Thursday, January 30. Tickets are free.
