Bristol consultancy Marrons expands with urban designer hire
Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has bolstered its Bristol team with the appointment of associate urban designer Sarah Evans.
With more than 10 years’ experience, Sarah has joined Marrons from Tetra Tech Europe. Prior to this, she worked at Barton Willmore and Terence O’Rourke.
Throughout her career, Sarah has supported both public and private sector clients, including national housebuilders, local authorities and Homes England.
Sarah said: “As an urban designer, I am passionate about places that put people and nature at the heart of design. I love to create visions for places that then become a reality. I am committed to inspiring people to live healthier lives, both for themselves, those around them and for the environment, now and into the future.
“I am thrilled to now be a part of Marrons and have the opportunity to play a role in growing the consultancy’s urban design and masterplanning offering. I am looking forward to helping foster a collaborative, effective and enjoyable design team in Bristol, while also contributing to developing a strong service that attracts great clients and excellent projects.”
Marrons’ roots are in planning, but the consultancy has since added urban design, socio-economics, heritage and architecture to its list of services, with locations up and down the country – including the Midlands, London, the South East and, most recently, the South West.
Partner Luke Hillson recently joined the consultancy to head up its urban design and masterplanning function, and Tom Macklen joined the business last year to head up its architecture service.
Brian Mullin, partner and head of Marrons, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the team as we continue growing our presence in the South West. Her invaluable experience and expertise will strengthen the team, and bring new ideas and skills to unlock sites.”
