Law firm set to expand again with search for new recruits

Expanding property law firm Hoffman Male is taking on more staff in a sign that the housing market is making a recovery.

Just last week, Nationwide Building Society said houses prices increased by 0.6 percent in November and were 6.5 percent higher than November 2012.

Hoffman Male is looking for a new conveyancer for each of its offices in Swindon and Bristol. Its headquarters in Swindon is run by Mary Hoffman and the Bristol branch, which opened in June at Aztec West, near Almondsbury, is headed by Yvette Morcombe.

“Both positions have arisen through business growth,” said Mary. “There is a definite upturn in the housing market and also in the commercial property sector, and we now find we need help in both our Swindon and Bristol offices.

“We’ve really hit the ground running in Bristol. We opened in June, and Yvette has been working very hard to build the business there and this has really paid off.”

Yvette added: “Government schemes such as Help to Buy and NewBuy are making a difference, and generally there is more buoyancy in the domestic and commercial property market.”

The NewBuy scheme allows people to buy new build properties with a smaller deposit than is normally required. From January, under Help to Buy, this will be extended to the housing market in general, and not just apply to new homes.

Hoffman Male was established in 1979 in Swindon and was located in Old Town until it moved to the new offices at Windmill Hill Business Park two years ago.

Hoffman Male, which also specialises in wills and probate, is looking for two, full-time conveyancers. For more details contact Mary Hoffman on 01793 538198, Yvette Morcombe on 01454 202134 or visit www.hoffmanmale.co.uk
