Chippenham’s international tech boom continues as Transport Exchange Group takes new offices
Logistics and transport solutions provider Transport Exchange Group has taken a floor at Bewley House, Chippenham – which is becoming a hub for transport technology specialists.
Siemens Industry Software has moved to a new suite on the ground floor, while TEG has taken over the first floor.
Two other floors are occupied by Trapeze, a transportation software company owned by a giant Canadian IT company, and by Descartes, a multinational company specialising in logistics software.
The final floor is occupied by the NHS. The landmark building is owned and operated by commercial property provider HPH.
“We are thrilled to welcome TEG to the building to complement the existing high calibre, high tech international occupiers,’ said Lindsay Holdoway, HPH’s managing director.
“We are also really pleased to have been able to help Siemens adjust their footprint, and delighted they are keen to remain in Bewley House.
“Both transactions firmly underline Bewley House’s increasing value in the market, signalling how important sustainable office space is for many organisations.”
He added: ‘Chippenham is probably the best M4 town for access to both the main London-Bristol line and the motorway, just 15 minutes away. Having continued investment from three global technology giants shows that the town has an awful lot going for it.”
For Navid Baghi, director of customer operations at TEG, the move represents an important step for the company.
“We are thrilled about our exciting move to Bewley House, marking a significant milestone for TEG,’ he explained.
“It’s great to be sharing a building with other tech heavyweights like Siemens. The exceptional transport links and vibrant surroundings provide an inspiring backdrop for our team, contributing to an enriching work environment.
“In addition, we are eager to tap into the abundance of local talent in the area, a valuable resource to bolster our recruitment efforts. This strategic move aligns seamlessly with our growth ambitions, and we look forward to harnessing the collective skills and expertise of the community to drive our success.”
HPH were advised by leasing agents Alder King and Huw Thomas Commercial.
Two suites are still available in the building: the second floor (2,700 sq. ft) and ground floor West Wing (825 sq. ft).
