Law firm Birketts opens new office at Bristol’s EQ
Top 50 UK law firm Birketts has moved into new offices at Bristol’s EQ building.
The firm has operated a ‘hub’ in Bristol since January 2021 but has now established a full-service presence in the city.
CEO, Jonathan Agar said: “It is clear from the success of our Bristol hub that Birketts can play a vital role for clients in the city and South-West.
“Offering a full range of legal services including deep sector and specialist expertise, Birketts is very well placed to play a prominent role in supporting those businesses and individuals that make Bristol and the South-West such an interesting and varied region.”
The Birketts Bristol office will have a strong sector focus, including financial institutions, insurance, private wealth, renewables and clean energy, agribusiness, and shipping and international trade.
With five partners already in Bristol, the firm is actively looking to grow its presence there further over the coming months and years.

Birketts currently has offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich, London, Norwich, and Sevenoaks, with Bristol being the firm’s first office in the South West.
The law firm’s said its decision to base its Bristol practice in EQ Bristol echoes Birketts’ own commitment to sustainability.
EQ has pledged to being the first Bristol new build office to deliver net zero carbon in its operation, which echoes a key commitment in Birketts’ ESG Framework, including the drive towards reducing carbon emissions.
