Web designer secures accreditation for .gov registrations
Calne-based web design company Black Nova Designs has become one of only 100 companies in the UK authorised to register ‘.gov.uk’ domain names.
The accreditation will help the firm design websites and register domains for town and parishes councils – of which there are more than 250 in Wiltshire alone.
A website with a ‘.gov.uk’ domain name is instantly recognisable as the official site for a council, assuring visitors the information they find is both secure and trustworthy.
“Parish councils are the backbone of local communities, and in today’s digital age having a professional and accessible online presence is more important than ever,” said Kyle Holmes, director at Black Nova Designs.
“We are delighted to offer a service that not only enhances communication within communities but also upholds the security and trust that comes with a’ .gov.uk’ domain.”
Black Nova Designs complements its domain registration role with website design services tailored to the specific needs of parish councils.
Their websites are designed to be quick-loading, easy to navigate and simple for council members to update. With intuitive WordPress content management systems, council members can easily publish meeting dates, minutes, agendas and other important community information.
The team also provides hands-on training to ensure councillors, parish clerks and admin teams can manage their website independently from day one.
