Bristol software firm’s deal with ‘birthplace of punk’ revealed
A London music venue dubbed the ‘birthplace of punk’ has done the least anti-establishment thing imaginable – and ordered a finance software system.
Xledger has provided the new cloud-based software solution that will handle the finances of the world-famous Roundhouse in Camden, which hosts 150 concerts and 120 commercial events each year.
In July 1976 the venue played host to American punk band The Ramones, which kick-started the UK punk scene, inspiring the Sex Pistols and the Clash.
The Doors, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin have also graced the stage, and today the venue also operates The Roundhouse Trust, which trains young people in live music, circus, theatre and new media.
On the decision to partner with Xledger UK, Thalvin Punit-Chauhan, head of finance and business planning at Roundhouse said: “We chose Xledger as our finance software system because we needed something that could support the business now, and into the future.
“On top of providing us with a system that can support our core accounting needs, Xledger’s vast array of features has provided our team with highly customisable reporting capabilities as well as the ability to be compliant with our SORP reporting.
“The Xledger team has given us a great deal of support and guidance on how we can integrate with our other systems, so they are all able to talk to each other and give the whole team the information we need to report on.”
Robb Webb, senior business development manager at Xledger UK says, “It’s been great to watch Xledger continue to grow so organically within the Venues and Hospitality space. I feel really fortunate to have worked with Roundhouse, I’ve enjoyed the process from tender right through to implementation and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”
Xledger – which is based at Tower Wharf – has more than 10,000 customers across 60 countries.
