Chippenham-based innovation selected for Grand Designs Live
A Chippenham company developing low-carbon heating technology has been selected to feature in the flagship Grand House at Grand Designs Live Birmingham 2026.
Luthmore, which is headquartered in the town and recently partnered with Wiltshire College to train local installers, will showcase its battery-enabled electric combi boiler in the event’s centrepiece show home, with the approval of Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud.
Around 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition, where the technology will be demonstrated as part of a home designed to showcase the future of sustainable living.
The £5,000 Luthmore One combines electric heating with integrated energy storage, helping homeowners make greater use of off-peak electricity and self-generated renewable power.
Herve Dehareng, Luthmore CEO said: “Being invited to take part in the Grand House is a huge endorsement of what we’re trying to achieve.
“The project is all about demonstrating forward-thinking solutions that can help create more sustainable homes, so it’s a natural fit for our battery-enabled boiler technology.
