Swindon company recognised with Queen’s Award for Enterprise

A Swindon company has been recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The awards are the highest UK Government accolade for a British business and are presented on the Queen’s birthday each year.

The Queen celebrates her 94th birthday today, and at 91 years old, Cheney Manor-based BG Automotive – which has won its award for international trade – is only a little younger.

The company, which is the aftermarket division of the British Gaskets Group, employs 90 people at its 140,000 sq ft warehouse on the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate.

The firm supplies automotive giants Jaguar Land Rover and Caterpillar as well as the rail and aerospace, white goods and domestic appliances, oil and gas, agriculture and electronics industries.

The Queen’s Award last for five years, and the firm last won the accolade in 2015.
