Multiple business awards for bid support company

Bid-writing support company Pipster Solutions has marked a major milestone after winning multiple awards recognising both its business performance and workplace culture.

The Westbury, Wiltshire-based bid writing consultancy was named Micro Business of the Year for the South West and Wales at the HSBC FSB Awards, with founder Pippa Birch collecting the honour at a celebration dinner in Bristol.

The company also took home three accolades at the SME Awards: Gold for Best Enterprise, Silver for Best Employer, and Gold for Employee of the Year.

Pippa, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the highways industry, said the recognition reflected the effort of the whole team. “Winning across multiple categories means so much to us.

“These awards reflect the hard work, care, and commitment our whole team brings every day – both for our clients and for each other,” she said.

She added: “We’ve always wanted Pipster to be a business where people feel supported, valued, and trusted, while continuing to deliver real results for our clients. To see that recognised is incredibly special,” she said.

The judges praised Pipster’s mix of in-house staff and associate specialists, describing it as “a smart, modern approach to capacity and expertise”.

They also highlighted the company’s strong client retention and repeat business, saying these showed “trust, consistency and the ability to deliver in a high-pressure, high-stakes sector”.

Pipster Solutions supports SMEs seeking public sector work through bid writing, management, coordination, consultation and review services, with a focus on highways, civil engineering and infrastructure.
