Accountant to dissect The Budget over breakfast

Accountant Richard Mathews will be dissecting The Budget and telling business owners what it means for them at a meeting of the networking group Business Village in Swindon.

The breakfast meeting takes place on March 12 – the day after the new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, presents his Budget to Parliament.

Business Village meets at The Campanile Hotel, West Swindon every Thursday morning, between 7.30am and 9am.

This week’s presentation, on March 5, is by Nicki Kinton, of Confident Cashflow, who will deliver a talk called Excuses, Excuses! giving psychological insights into why we don’t like chasing clients for payment and top tips for making that call easier to do.

And on March 19, communications expert Dave Harries looks at the rise of the podcast.

Dave said: “The last few years has seen an exponential increase in the popularity of the podcast with seemingly every celebrity and opinion-former launching their own ‘radio show’ on the web.

“Listening, or more accurately streaming, figures have gone through the roof as more and more of us subscribe to our favourite shows.”

Business owners can attend the networking events on a pay-as-you-go basis. Attendance costs £10 in advance from https://businessvillage.org or £12 on the door.
