Thames Valley Chamber event to focus on doing business with Japan
Doing business in Japan is the focus of a webinar from Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, as it prepares to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Osaka will be the centre of global business attention next year when it hosts the six-month-long World Expo, the exhibition held once every five years in different parts of the world to showcase the achievements of nations.
Unlocking Opportunities: How Business Can Leverage the Trade Agreements to Succeed in Japan will explain how businesses in the tech, manufacturing, and services sectors can benefit from the trade agreements the UK has with Japan – one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated economies.
The UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (CEPA) has already made international trade easier, and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) promises to enhance the advantages open to UK businesses trading with Japan.
The event – on Tuesday, July 23 between 10.30am and 11.30am – will be hosted by Anne White, head of international trade at Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, and addressed by Ibitein Fiberesima and Valeria Vigilante from the Department for Business and Trade.
