The HR Dept named as headline sponsor of Platform Project’s ‘epic’ summer fundraiser
Swindon-based outsourced human resources company HR Dept has been named as the official sponsor of the summer fundraiser from The Platform Project, which works with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in the area.
The Platform Project provides opportunities to develop the skills, experience and confidence they need to move forward on a successful career path.
Its annual fundraiser, being held next Saturday (June 10) at MECA, will help to ensure that the service can expand its work with young people across the region.
The HR Dept, which operates as an outsourced human resources department for SMEs, secured the sponsorship deal as a way of showing its support for The Platform Project’s important work.
HR Dept director Peter Jones said, “Working in human resources the HR Dept understands the value of employees and the importance of ensuring that all people have the opportunity to embark on a successful career path.
“The Platform Project does exceptional work in supporting young people in and around Swindon who may not have had the opportunities, or have just needed a helping hand to develop the skills and confidence to reach that first rung of the career ladder.
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring this event and supporting a great local cause which has an ethos very much aligned to our own. We’re also looking forward to a fantastic night at MECA helping to raise much-needed funds to allow The Platform Project to expand its fantastic work across the region.”
This year’s black-tie event, will feature a live gameshow, music, entertainment and food and drink.
The Platform Project founder, Sadie Sharp, said, “We would like to say a huge thank you to HR Dept for joining us as our headline sponsor for our fundraiser.
“As a not-for-profit, The Platform Project relies on the generosity of businesses and individuals to allow us to provide a range of services. From our Publishing Club, which teaches digital and social media skills, through to our school services supporting disengaged students, the demand for all of our services is rising quicker than we can keep up with, so this fundraiser is a huge help for us to expand our work.
“HR Dept is a perfect fit for this event and we’re excited to put on a night to remember – in, with and for the Swindon community.”
Tickets for the summer fundraiser start from £25 per person and are available via The Platform Project website.
