Wiltshire manufacturer made record community impact in 2025

Trowbridge-based meals provider apetito made its biggest-ever impact through its Staff Foundation scheme in 2025, donating a record-breaking £24,000 to a wide range of causes.

The sum brought the total donated through the scheme since its launch in 2005 to £300,000.

Through the apetito Staff Foundation, employees can apply for grants for organisations they care deeply about, whether through volunteering or personal and family connections.

During 2025, contributions reached far and wide and supported a range of important causes, such as vital charities, sports clubs and facilities, and schools and nurseries.

A significant amount of the donations strengthened the community in the Trowbridge area, including funding a brand-new flight suit for the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity, that works tirelessly to save lives across the region, and providing finisher medals for 300 runners at The AVR Wiltshire Half Marathon event, organised by Avon Valley Runners.

Alongside these, funding was also provided to support essential repairs to the roof of St John the Baptist Church, preserving an important community space, as well as new training kits for Trowbridge Social Netball, Trowbridge Town Football Club and The Stiffs Football Club.

Lee Sheppard, director of corporate affairs, policy and sustainability, said: “At apetito we’re passionate about making a real difference to the communities we serve, and that commitment is at the heart of everything that we do.

“Contributing such a significant amount to support causes that really matter to our colleagues and the wider community is something that we are incredibly proud of.

“Our Staff Foundation is a strong reflection of both the commitment of our colleagues, and the importance we place on community support – helping to create meaningful, lasting impact.”
