Recruitment firm sponsors young boxer

A Swindon recruitment firm has backed local sporting talent by announcing its sponsorship of promising boxer Zach Corbett.

iRecruit4, which supports employers across the M4 corridor with temporary and permanent recruitment, has already raised more than £6,000 for charities across Wiltshire and Swindon during 2025.

It also runs a scheme that pledges a percentage of selected permanent recruitment fees to causes chosen by clients and candidates.

Now the business is extending that community focus into sport, backing Zach, who trains at Malmesbury Amateur Boxing Club, along with his trainer Mike.

iRecruit4 founder Ashlea Fisher said the decision was a natural one, both because of her own background in boxing and her belief in supporting young people.

“Putting community at the heart of the business felt like the natural thing to do for me and if we’re able to help, support, and give back, then we absolutely should,” she said.

“It’s not just good business, it’s the right thing to do and helping young enthusiastic kids is so important.”

Zach’s rise has been rapid. He began his sporting journey in football at the age of five before discovering boxing during lockdown. After progressing through kickboxing belts, he found his way to Malmesbury’s boxing club, where his development has accelerated.

Despite only competing for a year, he was named 2025 National Novice Youth Champion in the 57–60kg category and also finished runner-up in the National Youth Championships. His next test comes this month, when he travels to Andorra for his first European fight, competing in a title contest.

Ashlea said the partnership had a personal resonance. “In my adolescence, I was a boxer myself. I’ve always had a strong connection to the sport and a real appreciation for the discipline, resilience, and mindset it builds,” she said. “Getting involved with the club and seeing Zach’s journey brought all of that back.”

She added: “You can see the dedication and hard work he puts in, and I know first-hand what it takes to keep showing up and pushing yourself. It felt like a natural decision, I wanted to give something back to the sport that gave me so much.”

Zach’s mother, Sue, said the sponsorship would help the family meet the costs of his sporting ambitions.

“This sponsorship makes a significant difference to Zach and our family,” she said. “It opens doors to opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to access,” she said.

She added that international competition is an important step in her son’s development, but one that carries significant expense.

Ashlea added: “Zach is a brilliant young man, and what really stands out is his attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn. his year Zach is our boy at iRecruit4, and we can’t wait to be sat in his corner!”
