Outdoor educator Kyt Lyn Walken joins Alabaré as ambassador
Wiltshire-based homelessness charity Alabaré has appointed internationally-known tracker, outdoor educator and founder of The Way of Tracking, Kyt Lyn Walken, as an ambassador for the organisation.
Kyt has a global community that follows her work in nature connection, wellbeing, and personal growth, and she’s passionate about using her platform to shine a light on the challenges people experiencing homelessness face, and the hope and support Alabaré offers.
Kyt said: “Alabaré’s work really touched me. The homelessness crisis is growing – and it becomes more visible every time I’m in the UK.
“Their belief that every person deserves dignity, safety, and hope is something I care deeply about. I’m proud to stand with them and help share their story.”
As part of her new role, Kyt will be:
- Supporting some of our outdoor wellbeing activities
- Taking part in fundraising and community days
- Helping share Alabaré’s mission across her global network
James Tomlinson, Alabaré’s director of strategic communications, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Kyt.
“Her energy, kindness and passion for people align beautifully with who we are. She’ll help bring our story to so many new people – in the UK, Europe and the US.”
Alabaré has been supporting people who are homeless or at risk for 35 years, with more than 3,200 clients accessing services every year.
