Swindon fleet firm among the world’s most sustainable

A fleet and mobility provider headquartered in Swindon has been recognised among the world’s leading businesses for sustainability performance.

Arval UK has earned EcoVadis Platinum accreditation, placing it in the top one per cent of companies assessed globally.

Meanwhile its latest Sustainability Report shows continued progress in reducing emissions and expanding electric vehicle adoption.

It now has more than 63,000 battery electric vehicles, marking a 16 per cent increase on 2024, accounting for 30 per cent of its leased fleet.

In doing so Arval UK has hit a key decarbonisation milestone a year early, by achieving a 38 per cent reduction in average theoretical tailpipe CO2 emissions in its fleet, exceeding its own 30 per cent global reduction target.

As well as supporting clients with sustainable mobility, Arval UK has been focusing on their own sustainability initiatives, demonstrating a 44 per cent year-on-year reduction in Arval UK’s absolute energy consumption of electricity and gas in its offices and reported a 59 per cent reduction in operational carbon emissions compared with its 2019 baseline.

In addition, their own company fleet is 88 per cent electric and achieved 100 per cent BEV adoption for all new employee vehicle orders placed in 2025.

In addition to environmental progress, Arval UK continues to foster its workplace culture.

Increasing staff volunteering by 28 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous 12 months, 346 Arval UK employees participated in 3,100 volunteering hours with 49 organisations.

Under its people pillar, Arval UK’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) was highlighted by 50 per cent of the executive team being female and the proportion of women in senior roles (the upper quartile) increasing by three per cent to 39 per cent.

Additionally, in 2025 Arval UK joined the Automotive 30 per cent Club as a Gold Member to support greater female representation in the automotive sector.
