StudioHIVE appoints senior architect
Bristol-based StudioHIVE Architects has announced further expansion with the appointment of Chris Harber as a senior architect.
Chris has extensive experience across all project work stages and his portfolio includes the landmark mixed-use development Soapworks in Bristol, delivered with Chapman Taylor.
Chris also brings valuable international experience to the firm, having worked in Melbourne, Australia across various civic and commercial schemes.
StudioHIVE Architects – sister company to bespoke property developer StudioHIVE – is currently involved with the high-profile urban regeneration project at Silverthorne Lane, part of the major Temple Quay Enterprise Zone near Bristol’s Temple Meads station.
It is also working on the proposed transformation of the former Battleaxes pub in Wraxall, North Somerset, into new offices, which will provide a new home for StudioHIVE and the StudioHIVE Architects studio, a co-working hub, a licensed cafe/farm shop and a small number of high-quality sustainable homes.
Chris’s appointment follows that of Matt Scott, who joined StudioHIVE recently as its new director and head of studio.
“Specialising in technical delivery, Chris excels in project management and coordination,” says Matt Scott.
“He has already hit the ground running on our Silverthorne Lane project and he is a great asset to our team.”
