Independent house builder appoints new COO

Independent house builder Redcliffe Homes has appointed Jon Burcombe as chief operating officer.

The Bristol-based builder has created the role as part of its strategic expansion plans.

Tom O’Connor, Chief Executive of Redcliffe Homes CEO Tom O’Connor said: “Jon’s wide experience of housebuilding, commercial acumen, and the high regard and respect he holds made him the obvious choice for this role.

“I have no doubt he will bring an energy and focus to the position propelling the business towards its next phase of growth.”

Jon added: “I am honoured to take on this new role at such an exciting time for Redcliffe Homes. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional homes and creating vibrant communities. I look forward to leading our operations and ensuring we achieve our ambitious growth targets.”

The appointment will allow the CEO to focus more on land and planning matters, which the company says are becoming increasingly complex and resource intensive.

The new structure will allow the company to streamline its processes and enhance its ability to deliver high-quality homes efficiently.

The company says it is committed to promoting sustainable development and working closely with local communities to achieve positive contributions to the environment and local areas.

Research by socio-economic experts at Bristol-based Marrons has revealed that the South West needs to build almost 600,000 new homes in the next 15 years to meet the needs of the region’s 2040 population.
