Haines Watts Swindon promotes senior accountant to partner
Swindon accountancy firm Haines Watts has appointed senior accountant Emma Skinner to a partnership position.
Chartered certified accountant Emma joined the team seven years ago in 2017 after qualifying as an accountant two years before.
Since then, she’s gone from strength to strength within the Wiltshire-based team and was appointed an associate director just over a year ago.
She is now a registered ‘responsible individual’ with the Institute of Chartered Accountants. As a result, for her clients she is responsible for the audits undertaken by the firm, including signing of the audit report.
“Since joining as a senior accountant, I am grateful for the investment and support Haines Watts has given me and I’m delighted to become a partner of this growing practice,” said Emma.
“Having been a part of the leadership team for several years, I’m ready for this new opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of the firm and development of our people.
“I look forward to continuing to support my clients and team, in addition to playing a key part in the firm’s growth strategy throughout Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire.
Mike Lloyd, partner of Haines Watts Swindon said: “This appointment reflects the exceptional commitment and dedication Emma has demonstrated to our clients, colleagues and the firm. I am incredibly grateful to Emma for the support, integrity and belief she has shown continuously since joining us.
“This appointment is very well deserved and is key for the future of Haines Watts Swindon, representing our commitment to investing in the growth and development of our people.”
Emma is taking part in a personal charity fund-raising challenge to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania next month for Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Her fund-raising has so far come to £3,460.
