Azets announces senior Bristol promotion

Accountancy and business advisory firm Azets has announced the promotion of Tom Ramsden to audit director in its rapidly-growing Bristol office.

Tom’s promotion comes at a time of significant expansion for the Bristol team, which has grown from a two-person start-up in September 2023 to over 20 full-time client-facing staff, including five partners, one director, and three new trainees.

The office, which specialises in tax, audit, corporate finance and business advisory, expects to welcome a further ten new starters over the next 12 months, supported by strong market demand and an ambitious local growth strategy to double revenue in the next year.

Tom, a chartered accountant, has a wealth of experience from both practice and industry.

He spent over five years with a Big 4 firm before moving into senior finance roles at a private equity-backed software company and a FTSE 250 engineering business. Throughout his career, he has worked with clients across technology, manufacturing, and consumer products, advising private, internationally owned, and listed groups.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role at such an exciting stage in the Bristol office’s journey,” said Tom.

“The pace of growth, quality of clients, and the culture of collaboration and ambition here really stand out. I’m looking forward to continuing to work closely with our clients and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.”

Duncan Stratford, partner at Azets in Bristol, added: “Tom’s promotion marks another exciting milestone for Bristol.

“His blend of audit, commercial, and industry experience has already been a huge asset to the team, and this next step is well deserved.

“Our success has come from a clear focus on client relationships, quality, and a growth mindset – we’ve built something special here, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing.”
