Wiltshire businesswomen celebrate International Women’s Day with chocolate
Wiltshire businesswomen will be celebrating International Women’s Day on Friday, March 6 with a host of inspiring female speakers.
Jo Fairley from Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate, Juliet Davenport of Good Energy, Paralympian Steph Millward, and Safia Minney of founder of sustainable fashion label People Tree will be the keynote speakers at the event, which takes place at Bowood Hotel, near Calne.
The event is the first major conference staged by The Enterprise Network, a Wiltshire Council-led initiative to support new and growing businesses.
Kate Forrest, manager of The Enterprise Network, said: “This free full-day event will celebrate, inspire and motivate more than 150 women from throughout Wiltshire who are either running a business or starting one, with a range of talks, workshops and networking opportunities.”
The International Women’s Day Conference for Wiltshire Women in Business is funded by The Enterprise Network (TEN) in Swindon and Wiltshire and delivered in partnership with Wiltshire Business Support Service.
International Women’s Day is held each year on or around March 8, with thousands of events throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements.
The Enterprise Network Swindon and Wiltshire, a £5.2m initiative led by Wiltshire Council with Government and EU funding, is nurturing new and growing small and micro businesses by supporting them right from the first ‘light bulb’ moment.
It has four Enterprise Centres across Wiltshire offering affordable offices, meeting rooms, co-working and networking opportunities alongside free, impartial, business advice.
While attendance is free, delegates do need to pre-register www.theenterprisenetwork.co.uk/womensconference
