What do modern business leaders want from century-old institution? asks Trowbridge Chamber
Trowbridge business leaders are being asked what the really want from their Chamber, ahead of its AGM later this month.
Two years after a major rebrand, which the 114-year-old business organisation says has been well received, the Chamber is polling members – and, just as importantly, non-members – to identify the needs of modern businesses.
Emma Roberts, chairman of Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce and support services manager at White Horse Employment said it was important for the Chamber to evolve.
“Businesses are questioning the value of their organisation memberships, they want to see a return on investment when being asked to renew and, very definitely, when being asked to join,” she said.
“Over the years a myriad networking groups has emerged, and our Chamber is no longer the only player in town. We are expected to make our membership an attractive proposition, so we want to know what our local businesses really want from our local Chamber.”
The survey is online at www.trowbridgechamber.co.uk The results, and any resulting proposals, will be presented to the Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce AGM from 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 25 at Trowbridge Town Hall.
