Chamber webinar focusses on staying data safe in the ‘hybrid’ world of work
The challenges faced by businesses around data security and how their users are accessing, handling, or disposing of sensitive data outside of the office will be addressed in a webinar next week.
Although workforces are starting to return to the office, many plan to mix office time with work from home for the foreseeable future.
Businesses must adapt to a widespread hybrid working model, but existing information security controls and processes are unlikely to have been designed and communicated effectively for the unmanaged environments remote workers choose to use.
This presents businesses with an increased threat that will require new policies, cultural changes, and consider future strategies that will help them maintain security assurances.
Meanwhile, regulatory bodies responsible for data protection, who have shown sympathy to businesses during the pandemic, are now clamping down again on firms that breach data protection rules, while instances of attacks from cyber criminals has increased since March.
The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce webinar will be addressed by experts from cyber resilience specialists Accelerate Technologies and GDPR compliance specialists Beacon Consultants.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 28 from 10am to 11am. Attendance is free for both members and non-members. For more information, or to book a place, visit www.thamesvalleychamber.co.uk/event
