The HR Dept defies flat economy with phenomenal growth in Swindon
HR consultancy the HR Dept in Swindon is bucking the economic trend and experiencing significant growth, despite the turbulent economic backdrop.
The HR Dept saw 24 per cent year-on-year growth last year. It is on course to repeat, if not better, this figure during the current year.
That’s despite the UK economy growing at just 0.6 per cent, and the business services sector growing by 0.8 per cent.
Peter Jones, managing director of HR Dept Swindon, North Wiltshire and East Cotswolds, puts the company’s success down to the excellent team.
Led by Helen Imbusi, head of HR Consultancy at the HR Dept, the team has grown to eight-strong, including two recent starters.
“We have grown particularly rapidly in the last two years, and I am confident that we are looking at similar growth this year. This is significant, because a high-growth business is deemed to be one growing at over 10 per cent a year,” said Peter, who has run HR Dept since 2009.
“We have an exceptional team, brilliantly led by Helen, who has spent a lot of time in developing our people and their core skills. As a result, our client retention is fantastic – the vast majority have been with us for some time, and the longest has been with us for nearly 20 years.”
The tsunami of changes that was introduced under the Employment Rights Act has also contributed to a significant increase in enquiries, as employers seek expert advice on navigating the new legislation.
Peter added: “The changes to employment legislation mean a lot more companies require support. But they choose the HR Dept and stay with us because of the quality of service we deliver.”
