24-7 Staffing celebrates 20 years in businesses
Wiltshire recruitment agency 24-7 Staffing is celebrating 20 years in business.
The Chippenham-based firm started life in 2004, when husband and wife Julian and Melody Thompson were planning a kitchen extension, before deciding to use the money to launch their business instead.
The initial focus was on recruiting heavy goods drivers, as Julian came from a transport background.
But the firm’s scope soon expanded to cover industrial, healthcare, and permanent recruitment across three offices in Wiltshire and Bristol.
Over 20 years the firm has have employed over 15,000 candidates who have started new careers or bridged gaps between jobs, supporting the local community and their families.
The business started life in a tiny rented office in The Causeway in Chippenham. But when the opportunity arose to purchase an office in the former Goldiggers nightclub in Chippenham – where Julian and Melody met 30 years ago – they snapped it up.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported the business over the years as we recognise the business would not exist without the part all these people have played,” said Julian.
