Pat on the back for accountancy apprentices
As the UK marks National Apprenticeship Week, Optimum Professional Services is celebrating success for two of its accountancy trainees.
Both Callum Morton and Zach Bunce are proving a real asset to the Swindon-based accountancy and law firm. They have just completed their level 3 AAT qualifications and are now moving on to level 4.
“I think the apprenticeship route is an excellent way to get into a profession, and in fact if I had my time again I think I’d take the shop floor route,” said Hannah Matthews, Optimum’s assurance and accounts manager, who oversees the apprentices.
“They have both been a huge help, with Zach now working in tax and Callum staying in accounts. Our message is that apprentices, even though they are starting out and in a junior role, still have a massive impact in terms of helping us support our client portfolio.”
Optimum Professional Services offers a range of services for business owners, people and families. As well as accountancy and audit, the team provide bookkeeping, payroll, business and personal tax advice. The firm’s legal team specialise in property law, wills and probate, and estate planning.
Optimum is actively recruiting for apprentices and a range of other positions. Anyone interested in joining the company, either working in the accountancy/audit team or with the legal team, should email their CV to careers@optps.co.uk
