Lundie oils the wheels for OFTEC

OFTEC – the trade association for the oil heating industry in the UK and Ireland – has launched a new website created by Swindon-based Lundie Marketing.

OFTEC needed a website to provide an effective technician application platform and increase the number of heating technicians registering with them. They approached Lundie Marketing who worked with them to create a website that excels on all levels.

Using advanced programming integrated with the latest web technologies, Lundie have built a website that is cross-platform compatible – adapting to mobile, tablet and web browsers and providing on-page Search Engine Optimisation throughout the site.

The range of services OFTEC offers to heating technicians is wide and complex. “We wanted to design a website that was engaging but also easy to navigate and clear in its functionality,” said Pete Morse, creative director at Lundie Marketing.

“Combining our graphic design skills with our web technology expertise has produced an exciting new website that allows the user to explore OFTEC’s services, register and pay their subscription quickly and easily – which was our client’s objective.”

The project demanded a thorough understanding of OFTEC’s market and user demographic to enable Lundie to develop a high quality, WordPress Content Management System website allowing nominated OFTEC staff to login to the site to add, edit, delete and disable pages as necessary.

Google analytics website performance reporting through webmaster tools is incorporated to ensure the site can be tracked effectively and adjusted to make sure the site performs effectively. The site has been submitted to the major search engines for indexing.

OFTEC have also been able to draw on Lundie’s wider marketing expertise to create an email marketing campaign, contacting non-registered heating technicians over a 12-month period. They have also developed adverts for relevant trade magazines.
