Oxfam appoints Bristol firm to create 2026 Christmas campaign.
Oxfam has appointed Bristol creative agency Happy Hour to create their 2026 Christmas fundraising campaign, following a competitive three-way pitch.
Happy Hour’s work spans the idea behind the integrated campaign, the emotive story at the centre of the TV commercial and a new offering launching at Christmas allowing Oxfam supporters to make a real difference.
The integrated campaign launches in November across TV, social and radio.
The campaign comes from a desire to connect the two things Oxfam is best known for. It starts in the charity’s shops, where donated items are found, mended and given another life, and carries through to its humanitarian work, where communities rebuild after a crisis has taken everything away.
Matt Cooper, head of creative at Happy Hour, said: “Most Christmas ads are about giving. This one is about asking, and what happens when a whole community answers.
“It’s a story Oxfam have been living since 1942 – like-minded people coming together to find what is lost and repair what is broken.
“Many of us at Happy Hour have supported, volunteered, donated to and shopped with Oxfam, so to now play a small part in helping their mission is a privilege.”
Alya Al-Khatib, head of brand & creative at Oxfam GB, said: “Oxfam came about during a time of war, uncertainty and scarcity. It started with a group of people who believed in acting for humanity and doing what they could with what they had.
“This ad echoes that same spirit at a critical time. Extreme changes in our climate, conflict, and the rising cost of living are affecting so many lives.
“But through this story, the team at Happy Hour have shown how the choices we make can help change our world for the better. And this coming festive season, Oxfam has some great ways to help people do exactly that.”
The Christmas campaign has been developed over several months hand in hand with Oxfam’s in-house team.
Happy Hour led strategy and creative development alongside Oxfam’s creative, supporter recruitment, supporter journey and digital teams to shape the integrated campaign – from the organising idea through to how supporters interact with the campaign.
The appointment follows a strong run for Happy Hour that saw them create WaterAid’s ‘Madagascar’ campaign, which has been shortlisted for Best Not-for-Profit Campaign at the 2026 UK Agency Awards, and Arsenal’s & Emirates’ 2025/26 Global Gooners campaign, which passed 99 million views on social media.
Happy Hour has been ranked the leading creative agency outside London, and 19th nationally, in Campaign’s Top 100 Creative Agencies for 2026.
